At the latest POP! Tech conference, Designer Kacie Kinzer explores what
technology can reveal about empathy and cooperation. To conduct the
experiment, she built a cardboard robot and called it a Tweenbot.
Attached to the adorable Tweenbot was a “Help Me” flag to elicit the
help from passersby in NYC’s Washington Square Park. The result is a
very cool experiment showing robots making humans act more like humans
(and shows that us New Yorkers are warm and caring):
