Detroit food drive week one results

Thanks to everyone who has so generously participated in our food drive so far. For those with a competitive spirit, here’s a friendly reminder: the drive’s final “winning” section will see their donation stretch even father via a full donation match by Organic.

“Tell me again why we’re doing this.”
We’re glad you asked. An estimated one in eight area residents are currently in need emergency food programs, including many households with children and seniors. It’s not easy to provide for your family when working full time on minimum wage (about $296/week before taxes), so our donations really do matter.

Without further ado, here are the results for week 1:

Quadrant 1 – 1 pot
Quadrant 2 – 1 pot
Quadrant 3 – 1 pot
Quadrant 4 – .5 pot
Quadrant 5 – .5 pot
Quadrant 6 – (Now combined with Quadrant 2)
Quadrant 7 – 1.25 pots (this week’s smug winners)
Quadrant 8 – .25 pot

If you haven’t participated yet, there is still time! We’ll be collecting food until March 22. Please help us keep the momentum going. Besides, DON’T YOU WANT TO OUT-DONATE THE QUADRANT THAT’S IN CHARGE OF SENDING OUT THESE EMAILS?

For questions or comments, please see your section rally captain (if you are unsure of what section you belong to or who your rally captain is, check out the wrap your local turkey or see the attached map).

Yours in food donations,
The Detroit Employee Involvement Committee and your food drive rallying team
