In a surprise move by Garmin, the GPS maker announced that they are planning on targeting the quickly emerging iPhone world of touch screen mobile devices, with the Nuvifone. The big hits so far are 3G, GPS (obviously), Wi-Fi, and integration with Google maps. No mention yet of specifics such as storage size, operating system, or music capabilities. However, the idea of building a phone around a GPS unit is an interesting one.

Look for it this summer.
