Interesting data doesn't just come from site traffic and sales numbers.White Glove Tracking is an open-sourced effort to motion track each of the 10,060 frames from Michael Jackson's televised performance of Billy Jean, and isolate his lonely white glove.
Once the data was aggregated, it was made machine readable and released so anyone could design visualizations of the mountain of numbers.
