6 Billion Others is an ambitious project from reknowned French photographer Yann Arthus-Bertrand. Although he is typically known for his aerial photography, this project features video diaries of people from all over the world, talking about life, love and happiness. It's a beautiful utopian idea that world harmony begins with an understanding of what matters to a single individual. And it features an intuitively designed Flash interface and great video implementation.

since i've seen how many stories can be fabricated on the Internet, and the easy back-slapping feel good philanthropy that wastes in theory while overlooking program fundamentals....this is a difficult read. it's similar to those one.org bumperstickers with so many weeds in the backyard.....these begin from the remote character of such fetid and rancid programming that poses as brilliant when in many cases it's simply voyeuristic and perverted trash. hey, great compost. toxic sludge?? not really.

I think you're being too hard on the honesty of humanity, Ricardo. Yes, there are thousands of stories that came, not from reality, but from the minds of others, but the entire population isn't like that. Everyone out there has a good experience to share, something that made them happy, and you're shunning them because of the possibility the story is artificial. Mankind deserves a chance to be heard, even at least once.
