A conspiracy to help launch a newly redesigned car, that is. We creative types decided to frame the whole deal in an X-files meets V for Vendetta conspiracy garb to spark interest and poke a little fun. So behold what happens when a card-carrying Berkeley conspiracy theorist helps craft a pseudo conspiracy for marketing purposes. The man in the video is Daniel Sims, the lead designer at Mitsubishi's research and design facility here in the states. The teaser was put together to spark interest in the new '08 Lancer that they're about to launch. The car is being revealed in a few days at the Detroit Auto Show along with a prototype of its high-performance sibling, the Lancer Evolution. This is a big deal in certain automotive circles, so we're going to be doing a live webcast of the event from Detroit. Anyhoo, a teaser video is now live at:
