Flickr has consistently taken the data that it cultivates from its community and given it back to its users in a helpful and useful way.
We've seen API’s that take advantage of location quite often. There have been Flickr maps and Flickr/ Google mashups, as well as flash-based visualizations based upon location. But until now, no one has offered any information about the cameras used on Flickr. All that changes with the Flickr Camera Guide.
The Camera Guide tells you which cameras or cameraphones are the most popular, and allows you to compare camera quality across similar photos. If you click on a specific camera link you view usage stats for that model, as well as product specs. Pretty sweet Shutterbugs.
