Exceptional Artistry from Jonathan Harris

Timecapsule Jonathan Harris is an interactive artist who uses princples from information design to reveal the human emotions and meanings that lie behind the raw data on the web.

You may be familiar with Phylotaxis, a way to visually browse science articles based on the Fibonacci Sequence that Harris developed for Seed Magazine, a science journal with a modern sensibility.  He was also behind just curio.us, a ground-breaking question-and-answer social network.

Harris has been remarkably successful in developing projects that are not only beautiful and artistic, but that complement web marketing.  They demand exploration and create the kind of engagement that advertisers crave.  Lovelines, for example, is "an exploration of the human desire" sponsored by Oral Fixation Mints, a breath mint company of which Harris is a co-founder.

His most recent work, for Yahoo!, is Time Capsule, another colloborative project where people from around the world offer their interpretation of ten different universal human experiences, from Anger to Love to Sorrow.
