So Reuters has appointed a Second Life correspondent, Adam Pasick. His role is to report on the day to day lives and business within the Second Life world. This virtual reporter, if you are a Second Lifer and are looking for him, he is called Adam Reuters.
His goal is to observe and report on the intersection between real and virtual economies and how Second Life is evolving. It could also be an interesting way for brands to reach from the inside out, and get press in the real world. Something that he has already pushed is the BBC renting an island to stage concerts.
Stories that Adam posts will be available through a blog and a mobile device that your avatar can take with them and stay up-to-date. If you are someone who spends more time in the virtual world than the real one, it’s ok. The device has news from the outside too.
