An article in yesterday’s NYT spotlights a new social networking site called Zebo, which is billed as The World’s Largest Repository of What People Own. Members can create profiles based on the things they have and the things they want. It’s a marketer’s dream and a great boon for those of us in the persona creation business- we can mine the site for insight into what brands and products are touchstones for different persona types.
My favorite quote from the article is the last line: "It’s like MySpace, Ms. Mossberg said, but ‘without the creepy part.’"
