Advice For Those Trying To Create The Next YouTube Killer

Logo_sp_1 Everyone is looking for a YouTube killer and the truth is that nobody is going to find one!  YouTube holds the market share and for the foreseeable future will continue to hold it.

What entrepreneurs and developers should be looking for are niche's in the video distribution and editing market that compliment YouTube.  They should be looking for problems that YouTube does not solve.

eyespot got it right.  Instead of going head to head with the giant they recognized that a part of the population not only would like to put their videos online but want to be able to easily edit and mix their clips.  For the average user Adobe Premier, Apple iMovie or Apple Final Cut are overkill and eyespot recognized this so they developed a web-application to that people can use to easily edit and mix their clips on.

If you want to post a video you should visit YouTube or one of the many "YouTube Killers" out there.  If you are interested in editing and mixing videos then visit eyespot.

(You can listen to an interview with one of the founder's of eyespot on Inside the Net hosted by Amber MacArthur and Leo Laporte.)
