A warning for book lovers and obsessive
personalities: this WILL hurt you.

I came across Library Thing the other day, and
being both a book lover and also somewhat obsessive, I can see this is going to
be a problem. Think iTunes meets Flickr, only music is books…

You start by entering your books into a new catalog
– but get this, it’s point and click, the site will pull detailed info from the
Library of Congress or Amazon! Then you can tag your books, rate them, add
reviews, see who else has the same books, get the site to recommend books based
on the ones in your library… Oh, and it has a blog widget so other people can
see what you’re reading, and a mobile application so you can check your catalog
while you’re standing in a book store.
