Camera demonstrations usually tend to be rather lifeless affairs. Often they focus too much on the gadgetry rather than showing how the camera can empower the user to greater heights of creativity. Or they cheap out by telling the story with generic stock photos rather than crafting a narrative that speaks to the consumer’s lifestyle in a way that resonates. Not this one.
The Lumix Digital Camera site enables the visitor to view pictures taken on the adventures of a few sets of users – three women getting ready to hit the town in London, a young couple vacationing in Barcelona and a Formula One enthusiast in Jerez, Spain.
Interspersed in these slice-of-life scenarios are the pictures our users have snapped - as well as tips and tricks that helped them sharpen their skills as photographers. The pictures the users have taken in these adventures are really good, but not professional quality – so I appreciate the sense of restraint the creative team has exercised. I’m sure the temptation was there to go over the top, but this way feels a lot more real. The Flash embedded videos take us all over the place – including a nightclub where even the bouncer starts taking pictures.
It all makes for a very engaging, rewarding experience.

You're right about that! De-Construct's Adidas Stella McCartney site was another great piece of work.
