Scare Tactics

Hard_candy_2The Internet is great for making you laugh. But when was the last time a website truly creeped you out?  Our medium continues to grow.

Keep the lights on for Hard Candy, a new Lion's Gate thriller about an Internet stalker who gets his come-uppance from a 14-year old girl. 

Hard Candy also offers a few new media twists- the Wear Red campaign is “a movement for online empowerment and awareness” inspired by (i.e. another promotion vehicle for) the film and the protagonist’s red hoodie.

Lion’s Gate organized a flash mob in Times Square on Friday, the date of the film’s release, where participants wore red hoodies to promote safe surfing. Video coverage is here.
