This is a very cool campaign launched by Adidas in Germany blending its Adicolor with street art and graffiti. It mixed in a very nice way grassroots urban expressions with their product and brand. Right on point for their customers.
First, Addidas put up a series of almost completely white billboards with the logo on the top. The billboards quote Leonardo da Vinci: “For those colors which you wish to be beautiful, always first prepare a pure white ground”.
Then, street artists answered by making all sorts of graffiti interventions on the white “canvas”. After a while, the words Adicolor and overkillshop.com could also be seen blended in the drawings.
Finally, they added a new layer with an Adidas sneaker on the top of the billboards, incorporating the graffiti layer as if it is part of the product design.

Really nice.
